Most important these films have less reflectivity than glass from both an interior and an exterior perspective.

There are several window tinting manufacturer’s that offer only a very limited (single ply) version of ceramic films and nano-ceramic films.

When it comes down to safety and security the thicker the window film the better.

That’s why Advanced Film Solutions recommends the 8 ML thick clear and solar safety security window films manufactured by global window film leaders Eastman Chemical, Armorcoat, Madico, Hanita, Johnson and Suntek.

The 8 ML thickness has become the industry standard because these films meet a superior level of security when tested to GSA, DoD and ASTM standards.

Thinner films like 4, 5 and most 6 ML films do not meet this security level. This includes any 3M 5 ML film. Be certain to confirm that a competitors film is not thinner than 8 ML.
