CP Films Takes Aim At The Window Film World

OK allow me my CP Films moment.

I don't usually attend window film dealer meetings anymore. That's why I have the younger Feldman employed; no?

Still I decided that I should attend this Orlando CP Films meeting all by myself.

Now I am as cynical as anyone you'd ever meet in this industry and folks that really know me understand I am being kind on myself. (I can be quite the nasty boy!)

I have never been more impressed with a window film company than I am with CP Films and their team.

SERIOUSLY!

From their new President to their GM, Sal Abbate and their marketing and tech people from St. Louis and Martinsville.

First these folks know their business inside and out. Their experts are really experts and if anything they give their dealers more credit than we might deserve for our capabilities.

They always take the high road and seldom acknowledge their competition.

(Now I personally love competitive analysis and tactical strategies (a good fight!) but I can see how their way might be more the norm in 2009.)

They are the Window Film Market Leaders not simply because of their huge market share lead but they are leaders in the true sense of that word.  They take the lead at the NFRC and AIMCAL.  They lead by participating in the IWFA and efforts to improve all aspects of this business.

Their people are candid about their direction and respect for their dealer channel.

Personally I think they are surprised when some dealers decide to carry a cheap knock-off film rather than LLumar or Vista.  They may be perplexed at the short sightedness of some people.  It may be the nature of the beast in some respects; but just perhaps these dealers are better lost than retained?

In my opinion they need to stay the course!

Never sacrifice their standards or try to emulate a knock off artist.

The end result might just be cannibalizing your own premium brands.  (But hey; what do I know?

When they discussed their commercial account focus they were crystal clear that their desire is to assist dealer efforts rather than to compete against their dealers.

Tip of the hat!

They create a unique Internet energy analysis program that commercial accounts can access to see what type of energy benefits they might anticipate.  The program is also supported by software that can give detailed DOE 2 energy ROI!

Tip of the hat!

Rather than give lip service to improving their focus on end users they produce new site builder web pages for dealers to customize their branding strategies and they listened to the suggestions of their dealers concerning improvements.

Tip of the hat!

When they discuss the hurricane mitigation terminology they are straight forward and have expert legal and engineering people who walk the walk and talk the talk.

Tip of the hat!

There is no company in this industry quite like CP Films and their LLumar and Vista and FormulaOne programs. Quality, responsiveness, performance and dedicated people who clearly are passionate about what they do.

They are the straw that stirs the drink of this industry; the leaders and Gold Standard.

Can they do better?

Perhaps; but I would never want to wager against these people.

We at Advanced Film Solutions are very proud to be a Vista and FormulaOne Dealer.

Representing their films was simply the smartest move I ever made in this business.

I get that tip of the hat as do my delighted customers!

Mike Feldman

If anyone needs convincing about the power of having these films in your arsenal give me a call.

After 33 years at 3M and the last few as a dealer in Florida I know impressive and these people are!
